Why You’re Not Seeing Results - And What Finally Changed Everything for Me

Updated: May 13

If you’ve ever felt like you’re doing all the right things - working out, trying to eat better but still not seeing the results you want, you’re not alone.

I’ve been there too.

For most of my adult life, I stayed active through running, hiking, and yoga. Movement was always a part of my routine, but after having my second child, things felt different. I wanted a change of pace and something that gave me a little "me time." I wanted to feel strong, gain energy, and what used to “work” just… wasn’t anymore.

That’s when I found strength training and everything started to shift.

At first, I had a hard time staying consistent and a little lost in the gym as a newer lifter, but what I really needed was a better approach.

The Real Reasons You Might Not Be Seeing Results

Looking back (and now working with clients), I see the same patterns come up again and again:

1. You’re doing workouts without structure. Random workouts = feeling lost. Once I started following a consistent lifting routine, I finally began to see progress.

2. Truly fueling your body. I wasn’t giving my body what it needed to build strength, recover, or function well. Learning how to properly fuel my body with adequate protein and portion sizes changed everything.

3. Stuck in an all-or-nothing mindset. Missing a workout or having an off day used to throw me off completely. Progress came when I focused on consistency over perfection.

4. You’re not building strength. Cardio and staying active are great but strength training is what truly transformed my body, my confidence, and my mindset. Understanding Reps in Reserve and what going to failure looks like.

What Changed for Me

Once I committed to consistent lifting and took the time to understand my nutrition, I noticed changes far beyond the physical.

I felt stronger, more confident, and more in control of my routine. Working out became something I relied on, not something I struggled to keep up with.

That transformation is what led me to become a certified personal trainer.

What I Want You to Know

If you’re not seeing results right now, it doesn’t mean you’re failing.

It usually just means you don’t have the right structure, support, or strategy yet.

Fitness shouldn’t feel like starting over every Monday. It should feel like something that fits into your life something sustainable.

If You’re Ready for a Different Approach

Now, I help clients build routines that actually work for their lives - focusing on strength, proper nutrition, and long-term consistency.

I meet you where you are, and help you create a plan that feels realistic, structured, and supportive.

Because you don’t need to do more - you just need to do what works.
